About
A Cleveland, Ohio native, Marilyn Wright is a seasoned performer, songwriter, actress, and music mentor whose dynamic vocal ability and humble spirit has made an impressive impact on her audiences. Although Marilyn's first live performance was at the age of 7 in a community play, she has been lifting her voice in song since the age of 3. Marilyn was influenced and inspired at an early age to sing Gospel music by groups such as the Mississippi Mass Choir, Helen Baylor, Aretha Franklin, Yolanda Adams and Mariah Carey.

In 2010, Marilyn graduated as Salutatorian of her senior high school class and went on to study Business/Management at the world-renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.

Aside from her music ministry, Marilyn started The D.I.N., The Diamond International Network, which is
an online community for girls, ages 13-22, with the mission to empower through practical teaching. Girls
from around the world, including the United States and Germany, interact in her weekly radio talk show,
"Girl TALK", discussing real-life issues they face everyday.

Marilyn travels as a guest artist and speaker at various youth conferences and seminars, such as the
Dream Girlz Gathering hosted by Melinda Watts.

Some of Marilyn’s musical accomplishments to date are being the grand prize winner of the 2003 Coca-Cola Talent Showcase Competition; where she won $5,000 for her school’s music department and a trip for four to Walt Disney World, singing the Star Spangled Banner at the Cleveland Baron’s Hockey Team @ Gund Arena, Showtime at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem, NY, April 2004. Marilyn also won first place at the 2004 All American Talent Showcase (Star Search) in July 2004 in Las Vegas, NV, being selected as one of the top ten performers by UniverSoul Circus, 2004, being a featured Youth Prodigy at the 100 Black Men’s 10th Annual Awards Gala, February 2008, being a featured guest artist at the annual, well-renowned Cleveland Praise Fest that is held every year at the “Q” Arena, November 2007 & October 2008, being involved with the NAACP ACT-SO local competition where she won 1st Place and qualified to go to Nationals in New York, New York April 2009, then Kansas City, Missouri in 2010, and being one of the top 9 featured finalists in Berklee College of Music's prestigious Singer's Showcase Fall of 2011.
